Connexions are quarterly events hosted by MAC services giving you (the artist) an opportunity to network with industry experts and gain essential information about the music industry via a panel presentation. At each Connexions event we invite a variety of professionals working within the music industry to discuss the current state of the market and offer useful tips related to their specialist field. We invite someone from every sector of the industry from publishing to PR to give you an all round view on what you can do to become a break through act.

testimonials

"We attended Connexions 1 in Brighton and met Bob James who headed the panel. We were extremely impressed with the information we received at the event and after having followed the advice given we have now managed to secure management direct with Bob. In a very short period we have started to earn money from Gigs and Merchandising and Bob has arranged for us to record our debut album with Grammy Award winning Producer James Sanger! Connexions is a must for anyone in, or looking to be in, the Music Industry. It can seriously change your life - It has ours!"

Just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for organising the connections event I attended in Essex. I found the day really insightful and helpful (if a little strenuous on the wrist from all the note taking!) and the panel answered a lot of tough questions I had been asking myself. If I'm brutally honest it also made me realise how I thought I was ready to seek management/publishing but in reality this is a different story. However, armed with the knowledge from the connections event I am now more determined than ever to lay the ground work which will see me succeed.

was a bit sceptical of this event until I turned up! It was a very well organised, informative programme packed with rock solid advice and no (very little anyway!) bullshit. The panel was superb well picked, relevant, cool interesting individuals with lots of experience to share, which they did. I just wish events like this had existed when I was starting out. Then it was just firing out demos into the dark and playing pay-to-play gigs to three drunks and a dog! Ah well, progress is good for something. Thanks again for all the work put into the day. I was buzzing afterwards with all the clear, energizing information imparted. Still, back to the songwriting...

I attended a music industry Q&A session with the likes of Coldplay's old PR, Universal's old A&R manager and one of Bjorks producers managers to name but a few! I had the chance to give my promo pack in and chat to the panel, what a great day! If you're in a band I HIGHLY suggest you go to the next one

I just wanted to say thank you so much for organising the event on Monday. I'm so inspired and so much better informed after attending it. I've been spreading the word to all my music colleagues ever since!

The industry has always seemed a bit of an impenetrable fortress, but you made everything transparent and straight forward. It was great to know that finally the barricades are coming down and music is being set free - in many senses of the word - and the barrier between artist and fan is getting ever smaller.

I really feel inspired to do as much as I can myself now and I've started setting up a "marketing tribe" already after hearing about "tribal marketing" for the first time on Monday!

Thanks so much. Please do let me know about future events and, if you do get a chance, I would really appreciate any feedback you can give on my music and direction.

Hi there, Just wanted to say a big thank you for yesterday's event. I feel as an artist it is very difficult to find the right path to follow and everything gets rather confusing! However I have now (after all the great pointers I received yesterday) sketched out a plan of action in order to promote my music.

Thank you once again
